Criminal Trial Preparation Specialist/Publicist/Writer
Roxanne assists in preparing cases for trials and hearings by interviewing witnesses and documenting statements, investigating all aspects of the case including thousands of pages and hundreds of hours of video in the Twin Peaks cases in Waco from May 17, 2015. Roxanne has written outlines for the Discovery in the Waco cases to enable over 100 attorneys representing clients to easily maneuver through the massive documentation that continues to be distributed by the McLennan County District Attorney's office.
Specializing in building both simple and complex websites, Roxanne utilizes HTML code and through extensive content research and original writing, she continuously maintains and updates them. Utilizing keywords and phrases, she is able to keep the brand name at the top of search engines. With tremendous knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), Roxanne assures a high ranking utilizing keywords and phrases.
Roxanne enjoys photographing people and events and is proficient with photo editing tools and enjoys interviewing clients for quotes in social media. Roxanne uploads e-books she writes to websites and develops growth for website traffic.
Vitally important to businesses is reputation management. Roxanne monitors and updates internet directories and assures clients achieve the highest ranking/rating possible including AVVO, Justia, Manta, Yelp, Yahoo, Yext, etc.
As a creative and technical writer and editor, Roxanne is also a graphics design artist and creates professional advertising layouts to provide camera-ready art to print media. She writes ad copy for television and radio media as well as writes and graphically designs email newsletters, relevant booklets and e-books and is currently researching and writing a true crime novel.
Before working in law, Roxanne worked in the field of medicine. As a start-up business, she was co-owner of Total Body Concepts, the first medical cosmetic laser center in both Lawton, Oklahoma and Wichita Falls, Texas. As the Marketing Director/Patient Coordinator, Roxanne worked with media relations and advertising campaigns. She was the spokesperson and conducted many educational seminars about seven of the newest lasers available for cosmetic medical procedures. Roxanne handled technical writeing of news releases, website, print (newspaper and magazine), radio, television, billboards, patient information brochures, scripts for physician presentations and direct mail campaigns.
Roxanne and her medical team conducted extensive external marketing including over 50 trade shows over a four year period and Total Body Concepts won several community awards. The second year in existence, the medical laser center became nationally recognized for the results achieved on patients. Roxanne also developed product lines and was responsible for business development, product sales, patient development and relations. She was also the special events coordinator and business manager.
Prior to that, Roxanne was the Executive Director of Lawton Physician's Surgery Center, the first outpatient surgery center in Southwest Oklahoma. At the age of 24, Roxanne opened her first company, a management and marketing agency. Through that agency and with over 50 clients, Roxanne won the prestigious award of "Oklahoma's Young Careerist."
Roxanne has volunteered on many philanthropic boards and served in official capacities to raise money for charitable causes. As President of Mountain Metro American Business Clubs (AMBUCS), Roxanne took the club from the rating of "worst to first" when she took over the leadership and brought the club from their 250th ranking in the nation all the way to #1 in a one-year period. She then became the first female District Governor of the Southwest Chapter and took her district to #1 in the nation. AMBUCS is dedicated to the physical therapy of children, and most recently adults, many with limitations developed at birth. The organization builds custom-fit Am-Trykes and supports the work of physical therapists in this endeavor.
Roxanne is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in Professional Writing. She has many years of experience in marketing, public relations, management and brand development. A strong believer in education, Roxanne has hundreds of hours of post-college classes, seminars and continuing education.
A former reporter and copy editor for the Oklahoma Daily newspaper and free-lance writer for several newspapers and magazines, Roxanne is a nationally published magazine writer.
Roxanne enjoys University of Oklahoma football and basketball as well as Thunder basketball, gardening, reading and of course, writing. She is a film fanatic; especially independent film from up-and-coming writers, producers and directors. She is a theater patron and performer, and philanthropist and is currently writing her first screenplay.
